About Us

Nourishing communities with sustainable, accessible food solutions

Founded in D.C. by a group of middle and high schoolers, GreenBox emerged from a simple idea: to reduce food waste while making healthy food accessible to everyone, especially low-income families. By partnering with local farmers and utilizing a nonprofit model, we've created a solution that benefits everyone in the food chain.

Our Mission

Greenbox is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity in Washington DC by providing affordable and healthy meal options to BIPOC and low-income communities. Through a partner subscription model with the Common Good City Farm, we support local farmers, ensure accessibility to fresh produce, and contribute to environmental sustainability by planting a tree with each subscription.
